Uganda - Wildlife Treks,
Uganda Wildlife Safaris, Gorilla Tours in Uganda
Day
1: Lake Nabugabo. Pick you up at your hotel and depart
for L. Nabugabo, a small lake cut off from the main L. Victoria
by a narrow spit of land.
Day
2 & 3: Bwindi or Mugahinga. Leaving early via Mbarara
to Bwindi Forest Reserve, arriving late afternoon. The following
morning we head to track gorillas.
Day
4: Bwindi or Mugahinga. Gorilla tracking or walking in
the vicinity.
Day
5: Queen Elizabeth. We will drive north along the Zaire
border to Ishasha River and Queen Elizabeth National Park. This
area is famous for its tree-climbing lion but other game will be
seen.
Day
6 & 7: Queen Elizabeth. A short drive north again
to the Kazinga Channel and Mweiya Lodge. We will spend two nights
here and take the boat trip on the channel to view the splendid
bird life and abundant hippo. From here the Ruwenzori Mountains
can be seen on clear days.
Day
8 & 9 : Kibale Forest. Driving further north to the
foothills of the Ruwenzoris, we will make camp in the Kibale Forest
Reserve. From this camp, we will spend time in the forest looking
for chimpanzees and other primates and also visit by vehicle the
Semliki valley where the pygmies are found and also splendid views
of this section of the Rift Valley.
Day
10: Murchison Falls. From Kibale Forest, departure will
be early, to be able to drive the long distance to Murchison Falls
National Par k. On the way, we will drive past some painted rocks
that are in remembrance of the Christian Martyrs.
Day
11 & 12: Murchison Falls. From our camp near the
Nile, we explore this park by vehicle and will also take the boat
up-river to Murchison Falls.
Day
13: Kampala. Return to Kampala by afternoon and drop
off at hotel .
Day
1: Bwindi or Mugahinga Departing Kampala early in the
morning we drive west towards the impenetrable forests of the South
West corner o f Uganda on the borders of Rwanda and Zaire.
Day
2 & 3: Bwindi or Mugahinga Tracking Gorillas in the
forest. Depending on the availability of viewing permits, it is
important for the clients to realize that there are only 2 places
that we can view Gorillas in Uganda i.e. Bwindi and Mugahinga. NOTE:
It is important to Book early to avoid disappointment. Only a f
ew licenses are issued per day.
Day
4: Kampala Departing early in the morning, we travel
directly back to Kampala arriving before 5.00 p.m.
